I recently finished reading Andrew Schulman's excellent book, Waking the Spirit: A Musician's Journey Healing Body, Mind, and Soul. The related 3-minute documentary, Andrew and Wendy, by Josh Aronson, is also outstanding. Andrew Schulman has a partnership with Medstar Georgetown University Hospital to investigate the healing power of live music on patients in the hospital.
I've been invited by Medstar Georgetown University hospital to return to the hospital after my procedure to play live music for patients. I told them that I would love to do that.
